In honor of our anniversary today, I wanted to blog our beautiful wedding! Happy 7 years together | three years | being married to the love of my life! These photos bring back so many memories. It feels like this was just yesterday. I love you so much John!
Saturday, September 9, 2017. We got married in our hometown, Sequim, WA. It was a dreamy , barn wedding. Lots of delicious food, music, dancing + good company. Our photographer captured our special day so perfectly!

Florals: Fire and Blooms
Venue: Eberle Barn
Dress: I Do Bridal
Saturday morning, we got ready at my best friend Maddy's gorgeous home. They went all out + made that morning of getting ready so special!!
Make sure to click the photos to look through the slideshow :)
There was a cute little room right outside of the barn where I put on my dress + shoes/makeup touches. The lighting was so perfect. Look how beautiful my bridal babes are!
Sequim is beautiful in the summer. BUT the weather is very unpredictable. Our wedding was in September, so you definitely don't know what you are gonna get. Just cross your fingers + hope for the best. The day of the wedding was rainy and low to mid 60s. I was worried we were going to get dumped with rain. But luckily it rained early that morning + stopped a couple hours before the ceremony. Hey, isn't the rain good luck on your wedding day? Our photographer told us that pictures turn out the best in overcast weather, + boy was she right!
The barn was recently painted a beautiful red right before our wedding. This venue is family owned , sitting on 50 acres, overlooking the Olympic Mountain Views! John + I were both born + raised in Sequim, WA. So we knew we had to get married in our hometown! This venue captures the gorgeous landscape of Sequim!
I decided to walk down the aisle with both my parents. John walked down with his mom. We chose John's dad Mark to be our officiant. Everything was so special! Our ceremony was short + sweet. Mark gave a sweet little speech, we exchanged our vows + then finally became hubby + wifey!

Exiting our ceremony to the Star Wars theme song! ( yes the hubs is a huge Star Wars nerd!) Now it was time to party!!!
Delicious wine, Italian food for the main course + a donut bar for dessert!!! The venue also had pretty antique dishware.
I was going for an eclectic, rustic, vintage wedding. A lot of my decor came from my home + was either bought or DIY. I hand wrote all the signs too! I wanted everything simple with pops of green! Eucalyptus is my favorite green!!!
These next few photos are a slideshow of me + my dress! (scroll through the photos + if you want to enlarge them click the photo :)
My hair had some braids + flowers. My dress was ivory. It had a long train, that matched my veil. I bought the dress without having shoulder sleeves. When I got my dress altered, I added the extra lace that she cut off from the bottom of my dress and made it into sleeves! I also had my veil custom made + I wore the veil only during the ceremony!
My bouquet was stunning. I told Bergen I wanted a big bouquet of mixed of greens + she went above + beyond. She also made green crowns for all my girls! Go check out @fireandblooms !
Our bridal party! We each had 7 bridesmaids + 7 groomsmen.
We celebrated with 200+ of our friends + family. Danced the night away + created memories that we will always remember!!
First dance, " Stand By Me" by Ben E King
Mother + Son, " Simple Man" by Lynyrd Skynyrd
Father + Daughter, " Take Care of My Baby", The Beatles.
SHOUT OUT to my hunky HANDSOME husband who should be a model !!!! ow owwwww!
Both of our families blended into one!!!Yes John towers over all of us lol!!!
The night ended in the most beautiful sunset! Makenzy is seriously so talented in what she does! She just knew our style + our vibe + captured us so perfectly! We will look through all these photos + cherish them forever! I highly recommend @northwestfocusco !!!!! Go check her out!!!!
There were SOOO many photos to choose from. I just chose a bunch of my favorites that I wanted to share. To all you ladies out there who have a wedding that has been planned/changed/cancelled/postponed due to covid, I hope you all get the wedding of your dreams!!!! You all deserve to shine as a bride + to celebrate your special day. Whether it be with hundreds of people, an elopement, or small ceremony with family, I hope your day is so perfect + so special!!! In the end, the most important thing to remember is you are marrying your person!! So that is all that matters!!
